Two of my daughters take part in a Maori concert at the Fraser Rd school. I made the girls piopio,s .We started off by cutting the flax then cutting a pattern on it then leaving the flax out to dry..Then the weaving of putting it all together and weaving the wool to make the waist band on it And a head band.. Enjoyed taking part in this special art..One daughter Donna is on the right next to the tall maori girl and Cindy is in the middle at the front.
