Fish for tea anyone...Not a nice place to be ...One big swallow and boat and all would be gone...Received this with an email, and thought it would be good to share

The walker house I put on earlier is on the move...Big job to move this because of it being two storied and also made of concrete....This photo was in the Hawera Star...It has been moved to Stratford or out the back of Stratford.

Another laser egg... Wonder who ate the middle ..

Hows this for intricate work...Wonder how they harden the egg...Otherwise surely it would break ...You wouldnt need shaky hands to do it thats for sure..

A jet leaves a vapour trail as it makes its way south across our house..

In 2001 we left NZ to head to Brisbane for my niece,s wedding... I had never travelled out of NZ before and was very apprehensive of the three hour flight it was going to take us ,to reach there.... I had flown around NZ. going to a wed in Invercargill and also flying to Auckland and to Whangarei BUT this was to another country...Seven of us flew from Palmerston North. Four of us to spend two weeks with my brother ...What a wonderful holiday they gave us ...Have added a few photos of this trip

N
Never too old for a bit of excitement... This was Franks first ride... The rest of us had been round once...Looks like he had his eyes closed and hanging on grim death ... I even enjoyed the cold water we went though at the bottom...

We had our photos taken with a koala after boating up the river to the LonePine Koala Park ,40 mins north of Brisbane ..Also fed kangaroos...On the river trip we were amazed to see thousands of black fruit bats hanging from the trees along the banks of the river It says in the booklet, that over the last 10 years , 50,000 koala food trees have been planted...Thats a lot of food

Standing out side the Ettamogah Pub on our visit to Brisbane in Feb 2001 Called the crooked pub as most pictures and things are hanging crooked...A fun park behind it and lots of neat shops to the left of it ..Well worth a visit..

These beautiful birds ,wait to be fed, on my brothers fence in Brisbane...They had to give up feeding them as more than 100 of them would line up everyday The noise they made was incredible..They used to mix up Bread, water and sugar and the birds would come and eat out of their hands...I loved all the birds In aussie

This photo was taken from the top of the Watertower..Looking down High St..The National Bank and the White Hart Hotel show out on the corner and way down on the left The Warehouse where everyone gets a bargain..

Nine years ago my son booked out a lodge deep in the kaimai ranges, and all our family plus my daughter in laws family ,,,drove deep into the kaimais ,,,Where we spent a week .. in the most unique setting anyone could wish for ..We had to take enough food for a week. We slept in bunks four to a room.Great kitchen area and a barbaque out side ..Just a few photos from this holiday..This is a swing bridge leading to a neat bush walk. Daughter stands on bridge.

Kids have fun in rubber dingy ..Lots of scouts and cubs come here to camp..So much fun to be had ,,A large hall where we set up a badminton net caused a lot of fun..Also a very high flying fox ,bush walks ,glowworms. Not to mention the canoes from the next picture

What a wonderful holiday this was..A week of not seeing a soul, just all our family and daughter in laws family...Had the use of all the equipment...Lots of fun was had with these canoes

Ash and I sit on a log with a lovely waterfall backdrop in the Kaimai,s

This Moa (made by my niece) was placed in the middle of Inglewood in the early hours of April Fools Day... Stopped the traffic...to see this big bird Towering over the walkway.. To finish this moa my niece had to stand on a shed to reach up high enough...

This was the year the Big Cow Down at Dairyland Had its calf ...My Niece made the calf out of Fiberglass and took it down (In the middle of the night) and put it under the cow for April Fools Day .Caused quite a bit of interest and even made the TV news. I believe the tanker drivers on there way out to pick up milk did many a double take.

Not exactly Formula 44 Racing cars . But I guess even the best of them have to start somewhere. Two grandsons line up at the top of our steep driveway for the race to the bottom. Were no crashes or spills.just two boys having fun.

Daughter watches over the grandkids at Kaupokonui Beach. Who remembers the old swing bridge and the fun we had on it . It has now been replaced with a more solid one . There are great camping vacillities and a neat playground for the kids .
