Every year in Hawera we have a xmas pub crawl, where people of all ages, get themselves a bike and helmet, and off they go. The police keep an eye on them but mainly give them a bit of leeway to enjoy themselves.. I think the police are probably very thankful when this day is over. I stood out the front and photographed some of the most unusual bikes..Theres no doubting kiwi ingenuity. I hope you enjoy these photos..

Thanks Jan - you and Frank must be the only residential property on Glover Road at the Railway Station end. You certainly know how to keep us informed about the happenings in Hawera. How come you didn't let us know that myself, Michael and May were in town on the weekend of 18-19 November?

We also came down on Sat 2nd Dec, we went to Bobby Luke's funeral at Kanihi Pa, Hastings Road in Okaiawa. It was a wonderful 24 hours or so because this was the first time we saw our previous mountain for a long, long time.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
